How long does the whole process take?
It depends on the occupation, whether a labour market test is required and which country the worker comes from. Our offer includes an indicative plan with timelines for each step.
What is the labour market test and do I need it?
It is a check by the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) on whether there are unemployed people in Croatia for the position. It is not required for shortage occupations. We check what applies to your position and run the process for you.
Can I hire workers for the season only?
Yes. We bring both seasonal and year-round workers. For the season we start planning early enough for workers to arrive before it begins.
Who handles the paperwork?
We do. We prepare and file the documents for the labour market test, residence and work permit, visa and post-arrival registrations. You sign only what the law requires from the employer.

ProcedureLabour market test: when it's needed and how it works
For occupations not in short supply in Croatia, a labour market test is carried out before hiring a foreign worker.
- Required for all occupations that are not shortage occupations in Croatia
- The application is filed with the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ)
- HZZ checks whether suitable candidates are available locally
- HZZ approval is the green light to apply for the residence and work permit
